Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Manifess (“we”, “us”) about using the Manifess app and website. By creating an account or using Manifess, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Manifess.

1. Who can use it

You must be at least 13. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. Each account is for one person, with accurate details. You’re responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens in your account.

2. What Manifess is, and isn’t

Manifess writes affirmations, visualizations and reflections for personal motivation and reflection. It is not medical, mental-health, financial, legal or any other professional advice, and it doesn’t promise any result, including money, relationships, health or anything else you hope for. Don’t use it in place of a professional, and don’t make important decisions based only on it. If you’re in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact local emergency services or a crisis line right away.

3. AI-written content

Your declaration, themes and sessions are written by AI (from OpenAI) using what you tell us. They’re made just for you, and sometimes they may be wrong, odd, or not right for you. You can edit your declaration, make a session again, or report a session from the app. To write them, we send your answers to OpenAI, as our Privacy Policy explains; you agree to this when you sign up.

4. Your content

What you write and say stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it, including with the services named in our Privacy Policy, only to run Manifess for you, such as writing and narrating your sessions. The sessions made for you are yours to use for your own personal purposes.

5. Using it fairly

Please don’t use Manifess to break the law; try to get into other people’s accounts or our systems; copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app; overload it with automated requests or get around its limits; or create content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or meant to harm. Some features have daily limits, to keep Manifess running well for everyone.

6. Early access and payment

Manifess is free during early access. If we offer paid plans later, we’ll show the price and what’s included before you pay. Subscriptions bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and managed by that store: they renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, you manage or cancel them in your store account settings, and refunds follow that store’s rules.

7. Changes and ending

We may change, add or remove features, and we may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect, and using Manifess after that means you accept the new terms. You can stop anytime and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. If we ever shut Manifess down, we’ll try to tell you ahead of time.

8. No guarantees

Manifess is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises about it beyond those in these terms, including that it will always be available, free of errors, or right for your purposes.

9. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim about Manifess is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

10. If you got the app from Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no duty to provide support or maintenance for Manifess and isn’t responsible for claims about it, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property. If the app doesn’t meet a warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple may refund what you paid for it, if anything. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries.
